Motor Mount Fun Ok, who puts nuts on the inside of the frame with no easy way to remove them. I spent half the day just trying to get the passenger side engine mount off. I lost my 15mm, swivel, and 1 nut somewhere inside. Can't see em, can't feel em, where in the world did they go? I might have to tear the whole passenger side steering assembly down just to put the new one in. The lower control arm is right in the way, don't know if I get a special socket that I won't crossthread the dang thing. read more1 year ago | 71 views, 2 comments |

Busy Sunday OK, today I finished draining the fluids from the crankcase and tranny. I went ahead and cut the down pipe off the drivers side after it crossed over. I cut it 13" back from the last bend. 13" being the distance that the header sticks out back of the engine. read more1 year ago | 53 views, 2 comments |

Wow what a week Wow what a week, I can't get over everything involved in this little project. Tuesday morning after work, I started the tear down. First I pulled the battery and radiator. Then started pulling and marking wires. Took a lot more time than you think. read more1 year ago | 46 views, 1 comments |

Getting it together This week I have been getting it together. It being parts and tools needed to do the transplant. I still need motor mounts, and while I'm in there a new heater coil. Just not sure how far I can afford to go. this is really getting expensive. But when I get done I know my son will have a good dependable truck to drive. First things first, I still have to remove the tired old engine and clean up the engine bay. Repaint the firewall and fender wells. Try to jump on the that at first light. read more1 year ago | 87 views, 2 comments |
