1968 VW Squareback Next project Well, I have started another VW project. This time I will be using a 68 VW Squareback. Kinda like a Vega Wagon, of that era. It has a 3" chopped top. The side quarter windows had been filled in, but done very badly. Someone had used about 2 gallons of bondo on each side of the car. I have since removed all of that. It will have suicide doors, and frenched headlight. I have taken the drivetrain and VW pan out from under it. I will be replacing it with a tube chassis like I did for the beetle. The engine will be a 1953 331 Chrysler Hemi. It will have a 6-71 blower as well. read more2 years ago | 1,027 views, 39 comments |

1972 VW Beetle/Roadster What we have here is a 1972 VW Beetle. I have always been into bugs. I kind of fell off the other side of the fence, when I built this one. I have always wanted something different, than most. I am having a ball with this one. The car has a 2x3 tube chassis under it. The engine is a 355 Chevy, with a 350 Turbo behind it. The rearend is 9" Ford, 3.25 gears. It also has ladder bars, with coilover shocks. The car is somewhat designed after a 32 Ford Highboy Roadster. The front suspension is all 32 Ford.
