Tig/Mig welder pictures

Okay, here are a bunch of pics of my welder, trying to figure out all connections. And wondering what kind of gun this mini mag twecko is used for, looks like it is for the mig welding not tig. The chart inside cover says it welds aluminum so it must be able to tig weld from what i was told, but i see no switch for ac/dc anywhere kinda confuseing. Hopefully some pics coming without problems. hahaha

These pics all are for the mig set up.There was No tig torch assembly and foot peddle? It may of been an option that was not purchased with the welder-Do not get confused -the welder says aluminum setting-you can mig aluminum too. Are you sure that this welder is a combo unit?

I went on to snapon site and foreward you the snapon tig torch and foot pedle accessorys-for a DC mig welder-You can use this site to get technical info on your welder-price'ie stuff-You need to contact Snap-on ! I and sure other brand of tig torches and peddles will work -not so price'ie---77

Thanks man, from what i can tell there is no tig torch or peddle anything that shows it will tig weld. So i think it is only a mig welder, with more power 205amps run on 220volts. I will contact snapon and get them to send me information if it can be converted to tig, no wonder it was so cheap. But still a good deal if can be converted to tig welding. We will see how it goes. hahaha If you emailed me the snapon information my email needs fixing and can not get it yet, please post the website link in here. Thanks

Thanks man, got my email fixed again. Checked out your tig torch and foot peddle, those will work with my welder. Anything else i need to change to convert it to tig, wow the tig torches are expensive. Really need to make sure all this will work before spending that much money, hahaha

That is probley a standard set up -Weld Craft will most likey work - very good stuff for less than 1/2 the price-check them out..All in do time buddy-check snapon first and see what the capablities are, then go from there-That just might be a dual purpouse unit. Either way you got a hell of a deal ! You will need a regulator too and a bottle of argon..Ask if it is a standard tig torch-pin out at the amp connector to the unit-(were the eletrical plugs the tig torch in)- 77

Called the manufacturer of my snapon ya205 welder, it is not capable to convert to tig welding. But they said it is a high quality unit capable of mig welding up to half inch thick steel with multiple passes, and will do aluminum welding with the DC setting. Got the manual emailed to me and a parts repair list for it, want to get it up and running with gas bottle real soon. hahaha

Thanks man, could you recommend a good quality regulator setup for mig welding. And where to purchase one for a good price, do i need dual gauges or just the cfm gauge will do. Trying to decide what i need to get it all ready to use it. hahaha I do want to eventually buy a tig welder, i really like the look of the welds and would be awesome to learn another process

Hi guys, just getting setup on a lease for a 125cfm argon/co2 bottle in town. For a one year lease is only seventy seven dollars, filling it up with argon/co2 is hundred and twenty dollars for this size bottle. Yikes i hope the gas lasts a few months hahaha

Is that a tall bottle or a "B" size ? A large bottle will last a while depending on how much you are using it. Gas in exspencive---The Harris reg you have is a good reg.. you can just buy the guage that is mest up.  The whole reg set up will be exspencive--- go on line or get one at the place where you get your gas...The tig reg is totally different but you don't need that... Have you tried it out yet? 77

Hi 77 camaro have not tried it out yet, waiting for gas supplier to approve my account lease for argon/co2 bottle. The bottle size is a 22 by the chart he sent me, it is roughly a 125cfm bottle size and height is three feet tall and 7inches in diameter. I can always switch out bottle sizes if it ends up not big enough, the mig regulator has the scfh gauge that is not brocken. The one that is brocken is the kg/cm2 gauge, should i replace the brocken one with a flow gauge. Need to get welder all setup with what is needed to use the gas, and buy some rolls of wire yet. hahaha

Well the gas bottle is 42 inches tall and 7 inches wide, a bit taller than i said in last post. Getting an extension cord of about 25ft long with proper plugs on it, 14/3 cord so i can reach around my camaro for welding etc. hahaha

Congrats on your welder.  My welder is some of the best money I have invested in my shop.  Good luck with it!! The Camaro is looking sweet!!
