This is an interesting topic.Like James I remember AC spark plugs being $1.49 eash-to change all 8 was a twenty doller bill-try that in to days world-The thing is for me,is that look'en and think'en about all this cool stuff there is a huge cost assocated with it. If I spend $20,000 in performance part ( suspention.engine,interior,and extieror paint ) Thats all well and fine BUT--- whats the pay off. Thats not inclueding the time less hours it takes to fab and restore these old gems. Will the vechical actually be able to be sold for a profit??? I guess it comes down to a bugget.. That bugget would have to be targeted  around : is this for resale or personal to keep. I have found the workmen ship on turnaround cars are shit work and crude patch jobs with bondo and freash paint. I personally know people who have bought these old cars and within a year or two their selling them or fixing them right and they pay big bucks for them. On the other hand- personal vehicals that there main perpous is to be yours for ever and not to be sold thats where spending the money for qualitiy suspention, engine rebuilds and up grades like fuel systems,cooling systems what James is talking about is well worth the money-Putting your tallent to work and letting it blossom over the years of owning them. Thing are wicked exspencive now a days so I think twice,sleep on it and spend once, always keeping in mind the payoff in the end...Mine or will the new owner even care or have a clue....77

I guess the law of supply and demand is always a hidden factor. Your right when a young hobbiest wants to get into a clean activity and something that would give them a trade skill, they are stieffled by the outragous prices of auto parts thet arn't even made in america.And locateing old tin parts is even getting tuffer because of the rising rate scrape metal -There worth more shreaded than they are worth hole. If you happen to find the gem you are looking for - well better add an extra $200 to ship it. I feel for the next generation gear head I really do. I think that we are a dieing bread. The only thing I spend money on is tools and parts..I always comend any youth that is trying to do any gear head stuff and give them all the support I can because it is real tuff out there for them. Lord knows it's tuff enough for us fokes just to have fun as a hobby. (set of silverstar head light bulbs-$48.00- probley cost 20cents to make) Just an example-------77

Americans do everything better,except picking a good government.Look at all the FOOLS we have in office who sells us out for a profit. When I have to go to home depot and grab supplies I go after the no name brands( you will see we still make stuff here and sells for half of what the slant eyes sells shit).I talk to venders and encourage them to buy American. Boycot anything made in China or overseas for that matter. If we join together nation wide we can change what is happening here in america.Let their junk sit on the shelves and collect dust.If it does'nt move,it will be put to rest. Every vender I buy from,I ask for American made parts,you try to sell me something that is'nt,it will be sent back. I AM AN AMERICAN THAT HAS RACING FUEL IN MY BLOOD.
